Blood Drive, Saturday, January 9th, 2021
With blood availability running low, Land Rover Bedford is partnering again with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive event on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 from 9am-2pm. If you're able to donate blood, mark your calendar and please sign up for a time slot. All donations will need to be scheduled to keep everyone safe and on schedule.
How do I sign up to donate?
To sign up visit redcrossblood.org and in the Find a Blood Drive box enter "Goodwin" and select the location and a time slot that works for you. Locations and times listed further down.
You must sign up ahead of time to get a time slot to donate blood.
The Red Cross will be testing for Antibodies.
Where at Land Rover Bedford will the event be set up?
When you donate blood through the Red Cross event they will be testing the donated blood for the presence of COVID-19 antibodies.
An antibody test assesses whether your immune system has responded to the infection, not if if the virus is currently present. Donors who test positive for COVID-19 antibodies may have the unique opportunity to help patients fighting the disease.
We will be using our clean and heated indoor service drive as our dedicated Blood Cross blood donation event space. If you've donated blood at our location in the past you'll recognize it as the same space from previous events. The service drive will be closed off for the Blood Drive on that Saturday.
Masks are required.
As a necessary safety precaution all donors, staff and volunteers in the space must wear a mask.
If you feel unwell for any reason, please contact the Red Cross and postpone your blood donation.
